Web design for Essex trades and local businesses.

I design and build phone-first websites that make it obvious what you do, where you work and how to get hold of you. You see a free mockup of yours before you pay anything, and the site is yours when it's done.

Starter £295 · Custom £750 to £1,500 · Mockup in 7 days

Built for owner-run businesses that live on enquiries.

Most of my clients are busy doing the work. They want a site that wins jobs without having to learn web design or sit through agency meetings.

Trades and home services

Plumbers, electricians, gardeners, cleaners

A call button that's always in reach, your service area spelled out, and photos of real jobs.

Appointments and bookings

Salons, gyms, dog walkers, nurseries

Prices, availability and a simple booking or enquiry form, so people don't have to ring to ask.

Hospitality and premium

Restaurants, chauffeurs, specialist services

A site that looks the price you charge, with menus, fleets or portfolios that work on a phone.

Starting again

No site, or one you've outgrown

New businesses, DIY builder sites and old sites nobody can update any more.

What usually goes wrong, and what I do about it.

  • Customers can't find your number on a phone.Every page has one clear way to get in touch, sized for a thumb and never more than a scroll away.
  • The site looks dated, so you look dated.A clean, modern design built around your own photos and words, shown to you as a mockup before any money changes hands.
  • You don't show up when people search your town.Proper page titles, headings and structure from day one, and Search Console set up so you can see what Google sees.
  • You can't change anything without paying someone.Small text and photo changes are included on the care plan, and bigger jobs are priced before I start.
  • You're tied to a builder or agency you can't leave.Your domain and Google accounts are in your name, and you can take the code with you whenever you want.

Two kinds of build, both at a written price.

The build is paid once, up front. The price is agreed in writing after you've seen your mockup, so there's no hourly guesswork.

From first message to live site.

The dates go in your quote. Most of the timing depends on how quickly your words, photos and approvals come back.

01

Tell me about the business

What you do, where you work and what you want the phone to ring about. A short email or a quick call is enough.

02

See your free mockup

Within 7 days you get a visual mockup of your homepage with your name, services and area. If it isn't right, you've lost nothing.

03

Agree the price, then I build it

You get a written quote with the pages, features, price and dates. You pay the build fee, send your content, and I build the pages.

04

Approve it and go live

You check everything on a private preview. Once you're happy, it goes live on your own domain, then you choose: I look after it, or you take it over.

It's your website. You can always leave.

  • Your domain name is registered in your name, not mine.
  • Your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics are your accounts. I'm added as a user and removed when you ask.
  • While I host the site, the code sits in Onbeza's GitHub and Vercel accounts so I can keep it running.
  • If you'd rather run it yourself, the code goes into your own GitHub account. The handover is free, with a plain list of the tools you'll need and what they cost.

The full detail is in the terms of business.

Questions people ask first.

How much does a website cost?

A starter site is £295, paid once. A custom site is £750 to £1,500 depending on the pages and features, and you get the exact price in writing after you've seen your free mockup.

How long does it take?

Your mockup arrives within 7 days of your first message. Build dates go in your written quote. The biggest factor is usually how quickly the words and photos come together, and I'll help with both.

Do I own my website?

Yes. Your domain and Google accounts are in your name from day one. If I host it, I look after the code while you're on a plan. If you'd rather run it yourself, the code goes into your own GitHub account with a free handover.

Do I have to pay monthly?

No. The care plan is optional. Hosting, security and backups need doing either way, so Care covers them for £29 a month, or you can take the code and run it yourself. See website care.

Can you redo the website I already have?

Yes. The mockup shows your business on a new design, so you can put it side by side with your current site and decide.

Do you only work in Essex?

No. Onbeza is based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, and works with businesses anywhere in the UK by email, phone and video call.

See your new website first.
