Client project

Extractor Vent Cleaning.

A new commercial kitchen extract cleaning company with a domain, a logo and years of experience, but no website. I built one from the owner's own words and job photos, with pages aimed at what kitchen owners actually search for.

The starting point.

The company had just been set up. The owner had more than ten years' experience cleaning kitchen extract systems, a keyword domain, and a parking page where the website should be.

Kitchen extract cleaning is a specialist trade. Customers are restaurant and takeaway owners who need the work done to a recognised standard, often because their insurer asks for proof. The site had to earn their trust quickly and explain the paperwork in plain words.

The owner's concept sketches also used a different trading name from the registered company, so before anything else we agreed one name to use on the site, Google and every directory.

What I did.

Intake

The owner's words first

A written questionnaire on services, prices, customers, standards and kit, then follow-up questions. Credentials only went on the site once the owner had confirmed them.

Photos

Real job photos, used carefully

From around 70 job photos, I picked the clearest and cropped out anything that could identify a customer's premises.

Keyword research

Two pages nobody was answering

Google's keyword estimates showed around 500 monthly searches for "canopy cleaning" and 570 for "TR19 certificate". I wrote a page for each.

Interactive tool

"How often does yours need cleaning?"

Three questions give a suggested cleaning interval based on the TR19 guidance for hours of cooking, then point to the closest plan.

Plans and booking

Cleaning and inspection plans

The owner's idea of regular inspections between cleans became a plans section with starting prices, plus a booking form for inspections.

Launch

Domain, Search Console and sitemap

The domain pointed at the new site without touching the company's email, Search Console verified, and a sitemap ready to submit.

The finished site.

What the client said.

Client feedback goes here, in their own words and with their permission to publish it.

Results so far.

The site went live at the end of October 2026, so it's too early to report enquiries or rankings. I'll add verified numbers from Search Console here once there are a few months of data to show.
